"My brother reckons these are some of the most awesome burgers in Brisbane. He had the Continental and was bloated. Burger quality was good. His girl had one with chilli that was a killer but still tasty."

Ok these are without a doubt THE BEST BURGERS you will buy in Brissy. I finally got around to having one on the weekend and I am now a junkie and will attempt to go through as much of the menu as possible.

I ordered the Mediterranean but I asked for additional Hommus and Garlic sauce on it as well. (They don't charge extra for sauces which I thought was fantastic and so unlike many other places with lower quality burgers). My request for a bit of heat was provided by chopped up pieces of chilli which weren't overbearing, just perfect.

This burger joint is seriously worth the drive no matter where you live. The people running it were nice and friendly and the burgers were also large as you can see from the pic. The meat was all through the bun as well not a tiny steak hidden in there. The flavour however is the highlight. If I were to rate this a 10/10 then the next best burger I have bought whether it be a $20 restaurant one or small shop one I would rate a 7 max. The Grill'd Big Queenslander I had two days earlier was nice but nothing special.

This place is almost everything I have looked for in the great search for the perfect burger joint. Awesome burgers, reasonably priced with the only downside being that it isn't across the road from me!! Being a sauce fiend the variety of free sauces to complement your choice of burger is merely the icing on the cake.

Do your mouth a massive favour and go get one into you !

Was over that way again and decided to have another one. Thought I'd test out a more run of the mill type burger and went for the B & E with Beef (Bacon and Egg with hamburger patty) $6.70-

I happened to have a tape measure with me and as such the following pic tells it's own story. It's a hefty burger. The camera angle doesn't show it but it does measure 130mm across when viewed directly from above.

as you can see it's not all bun and lettuce either.
(Yes the chunks of chilli and garlic sauce were my addition request to the burger. No additional cost. Up to the customer what they want.)

Measuring the height and taking a photo was in the too hard basket but compressed it was 70mm high !!

All with great service from the proprietors.
I think there will be a few more menu investigations while my kitchen renovation is happening.

BURP !!

Smile I agree

Just Poppies is my local... my boyfriend and I am huge fans. We called them a while ago to make a phone order but it rang out... about a minute after I got off the phone it rings. 'So Sorry.. I just missed your call from this number, did you want to make an order?" Fab!! We were so impressed and told him so. Pizza Hut wouldn't call you back, your fish and chip shop wouldn't call you back. Bloody Great people, bloody great food. Two thumbs up!!!

they are definately addictive lol. Im quite a regular there. Though i do have to say the chips do go a bit cold when you get them home. The burgers are VERY filling. Dont eat them though if you got a saw jaw lol, you wont be able to open your mouth wide. I got pain at the moment but i just love them so much that im going to put up iwth the pain lol.

The people there are really friendly too. The burgers are nice and fresh as well., and stuffed full of the good stuff!a
