Inadequate passenger pickup parking in Milton

After a fair bit of frustration picking up passengers around Milton, I rang the council today to find that the ONLY legal place you can pull over in this area, that isn't occupied designated 2 hour street parking (parking inspector cash crop), or no standing, is about 2 car spaces of shared (commercial/passenger loading zone) on little cribb st.

What a joke, technically it's illegal to stop anywhere! The 2 parks they do allocate are for use by commercial vechicles, and have always been full when I've needed to wait 2 minutes.

Council parking inspectors only have to take a photo of you picking someone up on the side of the road in a no standing zone and you get a parking ticket in the mail. I've seen this happen at 131 Barry Pde when they zone out most of the streets for "bus parking" then photograph people directly outside building entrances using the unused space to wait for/collect people.

I guess there is no room for wastage of income producing parking zones to feed Lord Mayor Campbell Newman's pet civil engineering projects.
