Fish club meeting & field trip

For anyone interested in aquariums or native fish conservation please come and check out ANGFA - the Australia & New Guinea Fish Association.

The next ANGFA Qld meeting is Friday August 13 at 8:00 pm at 178 Alexandra Rd, Clayfield.

The talks will be from:
- Glynn Aland who is talking about the Chinchilla area of the Upper Murray Darling;
- Joel Huey who will speak about catfish; and (time permitting)
- Leo O'Reilly will give a species talk on desert gobies.

The shop will be open and the auction will run after the talks for the bargain hunters.

Membership has been dropped to $20 this year (was $40 in previous years) so it's a great opportunity to join up.

Members are also invited to participate in field trips. The next one is on Sunday 22 August in the Gold Coast hinterland.

My name is Warren and I am part of a team of researchers from UQ investigating people's experiences with Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPA) and Advanced Health Directives (AHD). We are looking for people around Brisbane who have had recent experience (in the last 2 years) with these documents and who would like to be involved in a focus group.

If you have been or currently are the principal, the attorney or a witness you may be able to help shape our recommendations to the QLD Govt.

2. There will no longer be any private ownership of land or water � total bent communism � without a shot having to be fired.
3. This means that the home you believe is yours, is not any longer, but is owned by the �government�, and any �state authority� can enter your property and they will not be trespassing. They can do whatever they like, as you no longer own it. It has been stolen from you! Your property would belong to the government. This is no exaggeration!

SPREAD THE WORD � SPREAD THE WORD. VOTE �NO� AND THROW HER OUT AT THE NEXT STATE ELECTION!

My husband and I LOVE Super Butcher. So far we have not been disappointed. We usually stick to the specials that are emailed out. Sometimes if its a really really good special they tell thier email customers before they put it on TV so you get a chance to get in before it gets crazy busy.

This has been a DIY project over a year in the making with contributions from many many people.

"The aim of this book is to provide some direction to those who are homeless or are at risk of falling into homelessness; to make hard to find information available for those who might want to help someone in crisis but don't know how- and; to demonstrate to people from all walks of life that homelessness isn't a natural or a minor issue"

Brisbane Gang Show performs its 59th consecutive season Schonell Theatre, The University of Queensland, St Lucia from Friday 2 to Saturday 10 July 2010. The show is a thatrical, musical revue presented by The Scout Association of Australia, Queensland Branch Inc. A cast of 110 Scouts and Girl Guides aged 10 to 26 years is supported by over 150 volunteer Scout and Girl Guide leaders and adult helpers.

Hi All

I am the owner of Showcase of Stars Aspley. We have taken over the business not so long ago. We had a charity day today and had 3 Awesome Broncos players arrive for signings.

We are looking at holding these fun days every couple of months the next one being in August/September. On the next day e will endeavor to have some more broncos players and Tanya Zietta. All profits for the day will go to charities that we choose. Tania has her own charity so this will be one of the charities.

In the mean time we are open Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm & Saturday 10am till 2pm.

We have an online store and we do framing.

Please feel free to contact us if you are looking for a special piece or are interesting in anything we already have.

Ok, to further my research into the matter, I put it to the carb gobbling masses. What is the best type of hot chip - Crispy and Crunchy, or Soggy and Greasy?

Hey everyone :) was feeling hungry in the morning so I was searching for some good breakfast near my place. Off I went to Flute....not much parking around (just off street parking and a few spots for the restaurants) but it should be sufficient for anyone to find one within a few minutes.

I had the Coriander and Mild Chilli Fish Cakes. The fish cakes were quite similar to what you would get from a fishcake entree in Thai restaurants. It tasted yummy but was a bit salty for my liking (I usually cook with less salt). The poached egg was a bit disappointing for me but the salad was good and the toast was superb! The staff there were really helpful and attentive too and they seemed to chat up with every customer that walked in.

I'd give a 3.5/5 for food and value for money. I'll be going there another 1 or 2 times to test out other promising dishes which would probably change the ratings a bit....will update when I do go there again :)
